Although their homes did not survive, Dot, now 86, and Helen, now 83, did. Dot came to town with husband Frank, also a Hurricane Wilma survivor, who is a former police officer in Seaside Heights. Also in town was George Vennell, Dot and Helen’s younger brother.

John Camera of Chincoteaque….

October 21, 2007

NEWLYWED John Camera is seen upon his return from Chinoteague Island, the first vacation he has taken with new bride Phyllis as man and wife.

As their first vacation together as becoming man and wife, Mr. and Mrs. John & Phyllis Camera went to the famed Chincoteague, Virginia, known for its feral ponies of Assateague, which are descendants of survivors of a Spanish galleon that sank on its way to Mexico during a storm off the coast of the island. (Chincoteague was the location for the 1961 family film Misty). While on the island of Chinoteague, John and Phyllis did not see any wild ponies, but did see some in captivity. John and Phyllis were married on September 29, 2007.
