Station 44 unveils new firetruck…

Station 44, The Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Department has unveiled the second new truck in 2008. Again, it is an American LaFrance ladder/rescue truck. This truck is different than the 100 foot model seen earlier in the year. The ladder on this truck is 75 feet tall, and there is no bucket. The new truck will be called 4401. The freshly detailed truck arrived on Tuesday November 18th, and was demonstrated to Station 44 members by American LaFrance reps.

Congrats Mike Lysenko and Erin Murphy…

Congratulations to Mike Lysenko of Ortley Beach and Pennington and Erin Murphy of Connecticut, who celebrated their engagement at Hemingway’s day of Saturday November 22, 2008. Mike popped the big question by having his brother writing ahead of time, “Will you marry?” me on the beach. Mike showed Erin the message, and presented the ring.

Hemingway’s is getting into the Christmas spirit as well.

The Borough of Seaside Heights will light its Christmas Tree on the Borough Hall lawn Monday December 1, 2008 at 7 p.m.
