Part-time home for Mr. Cutey/Multi….

November 18, 2007

Animal lover Ruth Drake is seen with Multi, a.k.a. Mr. Cutey Potato-Pie, quasi-homeless cat often seen on the lawn of the Seaside Heights Borough Hall.

Over the past few months, the most friendly cat imaginable has taken up residence on the lawn of the Seaside Heights Borough Hall. Officially known now as “Multi”, this cat is also known as “Mr. Cutey Potato-Pie” by some. Many of the Borough workers have taken turns caring for their lawn guest, and all worried what would happen to him when the cold weather set-in. Luckily, Mrs. Gloria Akers of Bobber’s Restaurant right across from the Borough Hall, wife of Seaside Heights Councilman Bill Akers, has stepped-up to the plate, allowing Multi inside at night. Although Gloria feeds lots of homeless cats, she, like the Borough workers, knew that this cat was special. Everyone feels better now that they know Multi/Mr. Cutey Potato-Pie will not suffer outside on cold nights.

Athena and Fotene Stefano of the Greek Peak in Seaside Heights.

Meet Greek Peak twins: The Greek Peak, 716 Boulevard in Seaside Heights, has ended another successful season. Friendly Greek Peak owners Athena and Fotene Stefano were recently into the Borough Hall to settle-up utility accounts as they are now closing their business until next Spring. Not only are Athena and Fotene business partners, but also sisters, and in fact are identical twin sisters. If you’ve never been to Greek Peak, do stop in next season to meet the twins and to sample some of the delicious Baklava or one of the tasty Gyro sandwiches.
