Rest in Peace Gerry Graichen: Mr. Gerald L. Graichen, past Chief of the Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Department passed away last week at age 81. Mr. Grachien, known as Gerry, retired from the Water Department of the Borough of Seaside Heights, and then later moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A funeral service befitting a past Chief was performed by members of Station 44. Mr. Graichen is survived by daughter Laurie, and brothers Edward and Michael. Mr. Graichen was predeceased by his wife Joyce in 2002, and son Gregory, also a member of Station 44, in 1999.
