Mom-Mom’s Special Pie still key item at Luna Rosa…

Stephanie DeRosa is seen serving up her “Mom-Mom’s Special Pie”, specialty at Seaside Heights’ Luna Rosa Trattoria.

Mom-Mom’s Special Pie still key item at Luna Rosa: Even though they have moved locations, one thing has not changed at Luna Rosa Trattoria in Seaside Heights: the famous Mom-Mom’s Special Pie, which comes automatically with dinners, and also can be purchased separately. Longtime readers will know that Mom-Mom’s is a special recipe of the late Theresa Loffredo, who passed away earlier this year at age 96. Theresa was grandmother to Luna Rosa’s Stephanie DeRosa, who originated the business with husband Carmine in 2005. Carmine and Stephanie say they are happy, but at the same time overwhelmed about the success of their new location, which is next to the club Karma at Webster Avenue and The Boulevard, and now has a liquor license and outside bar. The couple says they often must stay until 5 a.m., and then return at 9 a.m. Everyone is glad to see that Stephanie and Carmine are doing so well.
