Amityville Film Fest held with great success…

Crowds are evident at the Amityville Film Festival Friday July 11th, The first of a series of Free Movies on The Beach in Seaside Heights

Amityville Film Festival held with great success: The Amityville curse didn’t seem to have any effect on the Amityville Film Festival, which was held Friday July 11th to great weather and big crowds. To kick off Seaside Heights Free Movies on The Beach, a triple-feature of the horror franchise was shown, all of the films having been shot at a house now at 18 Brooks Road in Toms River. Shown were: The Amityville Horror, Amityville II: The Possession, and Amityville 3-D. Even people we never expected showed to the event. Everyone who stayed to the bitter-end got 10 Beach Stimulus coupons, good for one free daily Seaside Heights beach wristband. Now, a regular rotation of Free Movies on The Beach will begin Thursdays and Sundays for the rest of the summer. Thursday July 17th will be the first children’s night, featuring “The Muppet Movie”, and Sunday July 20th will be the first over-13 night, which will feature “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” A complete list of the Free Movies on The Beach can be found at the Borough’s website: http://www.seasideheightspublicrelations.com.
