Nick DiStephano is seen installing the new Weatherbug camera at Hiering Avenue and The Boardwalk in Seaside Heights.

Weatherbug camera installed in Seaside Heights: As promised, a Weatherbug Camera has been installed on the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights. The camera was installed Thursday June 19th. The camera was installed on the Hiering Avenue Municipal Building, rather than the Kearney Avenue Lifeguard Headquarters as was the original plan. The location has been described as “awesome” by installer Nick DiStephano. The camera pans a total of 340 degrees, can be manipulated right from a computer inside the building, and can zoom-in to far away objects with a great deal of detail. Every five minutes, a photo is sent to Weatherbug, and the photos can be viewed in a time-lapse sequence. The weblink is:, but if that is too much to remember, readers can simply type in, and go to the link for the camera in the Borough of Seaside Heights.
