Labor Day tradition held on beach in Seaside Heights…

The Labor Day cake to celebrate the last day together for Beach Control and Public Relations, albeit spelling and capitalization is off.

A Labor Day tradition continued in Seaside Heights in 2007. Workers from Beach Control, who sell the beach wristbands, and the Public Relations team, who man the information booths, public showers and Hiering Avenue Parking Lot, got together to celebrate their last day together for the season. Dignitaries present for the occasion were Seaside Heights Councilwomen Arline Ottoson, Joann Duszczak, and Agnes Polhemus with husband Sheriff Polhemus. A half sheet cake was ordered, and even though the bakery put a lower case “d” for Labor Day, and had “Realtion” rather than Relations among mistakes on the message, no one seemed to care once it was cut!
